Beginner Slope

Starting in the winter season of 2009, we are pleased to be the first and only cabin complex to offer on-site skiing facilities with qualified ski instructors.

Every winter there is huge demand for beginner lessons, so we decided to build our very own beginner slope, right outside your cabin! Best of all, lesson prices are very affordable. It's the ideal way to build your confidence, before venturing higher up to the steeper slopes of Nevado de Chillan.

The slope has a 50m rope tow and is formed around the natural tree line of the complex making it an extremely entertaining slope for kids and adults alike. We have an in-house BASI-qualified instructor who can offer lessons.

As the slope is short and gentle, it's certainly not for experienced skiers! Instead it's for nervous adults, and young children having their first ski lesson. We show you how to put on your skis, how to stand correctly on the slope, how to glide straight down the slope. Then we move on to the basic snow plough to control your speed, and stop. Finally we show you how to progress to the snow plough turn, and to make linked snow plough turns.

Then you're ready to tackle the volcano!
