Guiding & Videoing
Cabañas Los Andes has an in-house ski professional! With over 10 years of teaching and mountain guiding, Stu, your host, has experience all over Europe (French and Swiss Alps, Spanish and French Pyrenees) and South America (Argentina and Chile Andes). And, of course, he knows the Bio-Bio Region and Termas de Chillan like the back of his hand. Stu can lead your group in English, Spanish or Portugese and can work with complete beginners to experienced powder hounds. You're in safe hands!
Stu is available for an hour or two of coaching on specific areas of your skiing (carving, bumps, off-piste, tricks) either individually or in small groups. More usually, Stu takes larger groups for guided tours for the day (or half-day). As your guide, Stu shows you how to safely enjoy the best runs and the best powder available in the huge terrain of Termas de Chillan, while (if you want) giving you tips for improving your skiing.
At the other extreme, Stu offers starter lessons right outside the cabins on our Beginner Slope!
Stu also offers his famous video feedback on your skiing with footage taken on the latest helmet cam (the camera never lies!). This can be viewed in comfort back at Cabanas Los Andes, and copied to CD/DVD, as a perfect souvenir of your stay!
